October TBR!

September was a pretty great reading month for me so I’m really excited to jump into October! I have my final exams at school during two weeks of October, so I’ve only set myself a few books to read but I’m really hoping to finish all of these. I also got approved for my first ever ARCs so I’m hoping to read at least 2/5 of those!

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

I’ve always wanted to read an Agatha Christie book (I have a mild love for crime fiction) so I thought October would be the perfect month to read it!

Tantalizingbookswithel Read-A-Thon TBR

12071737_866530730129126_1095981678_n

I’m hosting a read-a-thon with one of my favourite people from instagram, El (aka @bookswithel)! This read-a-thon goes from September 27th to 4th October and we’ve come up with 4 challenges to complete in that time!

  • Read a book with red/orange or green/yellow on the cover (depending on if you’re in spring or in autumn)
  • Read a book from a new to you genre
  • Read a book that’s out of this world (sci-fi/paranormal)
  • Read a book from the past (either historical fiction or a classic)

My picks are:

  • The Accident Season for a book with a green/yellow cover
  • And Then There Were None for a book from a new to you genre
  • Graceling for a book that’s out of this world
  • Burial Rites for a book from the past (historical fiction)

This read-a-thon has already begun and I’ve read half of The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for reading!

Top 5 Books on my Spring TBR

These are in no particular order, I just really want to read all of these coming into Spring. I would have chosen 10 however I have extremely important exams for 2 weeks in October so 5 will have to do!

1. Demon Road by Derek Landy.

I’ve been so excited for this ever since I heard about it from my good friend Kate (@infintelynovel on Instagram). This reminds me a little of Supernatural, which I LOVED when I used to watch it, so I’m really excited to see how I like this one!

2. The Enemy by Charlie Higson

This is yet another book that reminds me of a TV show (slightly), that being The Walking Dead. I absolutely ADORE TWD so I’m hoping I love this series just as much!

3. The Accident Season by Moïra Fowley-Doyle

I’ve had this book on my TBR for a few months now and thought there was no better time to read it than October, which is when this book is set. I’ve heard great things about this book from a very trusted source at my local bookstore so I’m sure I’ll end up liking it!

4. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Okay so I absolutely love the Grisha trilogy, and I’m so so excited to read another book set in the Grisha world. I love Leigh Bardugo’s writing so I’m sure I’m going to love it. This is an October new release and I’m hoping to buy this ASAP. Definitely one of my most anticipated reads of 2015!
